ABOUT ME

Meet Cheryl

Cheryl Lim Tan is a brand builder and strategist who works with fast-growing brands to develop their unique brand identity, connect with consumers and deliver products and services they love.

As a marketing and e-commerce consultant she has worked with leading companies in e-commerce, fashion, beauty, digital media and other lifestyle sectors and has supported various functions such as digital marketing, business analytics, e-commerce and social media. In recent years she has worked with clients focused on emerging sectors such as artificial intelligence and sustainability.

Previously, as the Sr Director of Merchandising at Minted, she oversaw merchandising across gifts, home and stationery, and launched the direct-from-artist marketplace. Prior to that, she was Vice President of Brand & Marketing at Tundra, a San Francisco startup that empowers the growth of small businesses with a frictionless wholesale marketplace. She previously served as the VP of Product & Marketing at KonMari Media Inc., a company founded by best-selling author and Netflix star Marie Kondo. In that role, Cheryl led the overall product and marketing strategy and spearheaded the direct-to-consumer brand launch.

Prior to that, Cheryl held several strategy and marketing roles at Stella & Dot and Walmart.com, helping to launch and scale new multi-million dollar retail businesses. She was also a former McKinsey & Co consultant where she served a broad spectrum of retail and consumer goods clients.

Cheryl has an MBA from Harvard Business School, a Masters of Engineering from Stanford University and a BS in Engineering from the University of Michigan. She is currently on the board of Minno, a children's streaming video platform, and The Starfish Project, a social enterprise that cares for women escaping human trafficking and exploitation in Asia. She currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and two daughters.
